The
project deals with the conservation of the rare resource bandwidth. Bandwidth
is the amount of data that can be sent through a channel in a period of time. The
system is made Contention-Free, so that more data can be sent through the
network. It basically involves three modules viz.,
1. Allocation
Of Minimal Bandwidth
2. Applying
Scheduling Policies
3. Comparison
Of Bandwidth With Existing System
- Allocation of Minimal Bandwidth: Allocating the
bandwidth based on data-rates that is, the total amount of data to be
transferred.
- Applying Scheduling Policies: We apply
scheduling policies such as, FIFO, EDF and Fixed-Priority for sending the
data to the source to destination. And provide Contention-Free access.
- Comparison of Bandwidth with Existing System: We compared the result of our proposed system with the existing
system.
Results : The interpretation of the project is to
reduce the power and energy wastage
for data transfer and also to increase the amount of data that can be sent
through a channel.
Contribution : As
a team representative, was responsible for creating the architecture and
distribute modules for development.
