I have been self employed for over twenty years, working in K-12 educational facilities.  I have worked in CT.  Mass, and all over NY.  I am well versed in Novell up to 6.0 and Microsoft Windows for Workgroups 3.1 to Windows 7.0.  I have excellent knowledge of Ethernet topologies, WIFI, as well as basic routers, firewalls, layered switches.  I have worked with Desktops, Notebooks, and Netbooks.  I am proficient with Apple systems and software.  To this point and time I am diversified and really able to relate to and explain to my customers where they are, and what they might need to make their facility more efficient.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Ø  Over the past two decades I have worked with teachers, secretaries, superintendants and business managers in different school systems from CT to upstate NY, making my home office in Saratoga Springs NY.  It has been a center point giving me great flexibility with the ability to respond often on a same day service when a server crashes, internet or intranet connectivity is lost, or a primary notebook or workstation has failed.  It has always been important to know my clients, and be able to fit with their individual needs, working to build a great solution for them.
Ø  Design has always been important. I have been fortunate to have several schools which I did design work for win state sponsored awards.  One in the Village of Canajoharie, was tying the public library into the Canajoharie High School Library.
Ø  Making sure that my clients have an understanding of what will be done, verses what can be done.  Resolving expectations right from the get go makes for happy clients and less issues for the SE on site.

I have no problem traveling to and from work, rather to an office or on site.  I enjoy challenges and am not afraid of working overtime. I am also not afraid to make decisions and stand behind them.  I work well as a team member, solo, or as the team captain.  As I worked with many different clients I saw a diversity of word processors, presentation and communication software.  I am more knowledgeable in support of Microsoft Office 2000 through 2010.  I am also well versed with setting up printers, local and networked plus SANS or other types of devices that may reside on a network environment. I can design an entire network from the ground up, or remove a virus from a standalone PC.
