**     Planning Engineer for the integrated Power and Desalination project in Taweelah, Abu Dhabi. This was a USD 677 million project consisting of 8 nos. new HRSG’s (360 T/H each at 110 Bars), 5 nos. new Gas Turbines (107 Mw each), 3 nos. new Steam turbines (203MW each), 14 Multiple Effect Distillers (710 T/H each), revamping of 3 nos. existing Gas Turbines and 3 Auxiliary Boilers.

**     Job consisted of preparation and management of the Project Schedule (using Primavera P3.1 software) having about 12,000 activities, updating and modification of the plan, study, review and integration of sub-contractors plans, conducting project review meetings with the sub contractors, advising the project managers regarding the progress of the work and areas of concern to take necessary corrective actions. Monitoring of the Material delivery status, following up with the Materials dept regarding delivery of project materials.

**       Progress reporting, calculation and preparation of MIS reports. Providing necessary support for claim preparation.

o   Preparation and issuing Global Tender for supply and erection of three nos. Boilers along with all accessories (ADB assisted project) and carrying out technical analysis of the bids.

**    During my tenure in the project dept., I was exercising the authorities of the Chief Projects Manager, in his absence.

**    Preparation of long term and short term integrated maintenance plans for the company, Planning, coordination and follow up of all the day to day Maintenance activities of the Refinery, manpower planning, materials coordination & follow up, coordination of shift maintenance activities, award of minor contracts, Budgeting and cost control; Management reporting; implementation of ' Computer Oriented Maintenance Management System".

     Position Held:          Dy. Manager Maintenance

     Period:                     April 1986 to May 1989

     Job Description:

**    Co-ordination of Maintenance activities of Crude Distillation and Catalyst Cracking Units.

**    Execution of the plant turnarounds. Responsible for the execution of all the shutdown activities for the assigned equipment group.

**    Executed Maintenance and shutdown jobs of all equipment of a Refinery like Columns, Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Furnaces, Boilers, Pumps, Flowlines etc., of the plants Crude Distillation Unit, Catalyst Cracking Unit, Fluidized Cracking Unit and Aromatics Recovery Unit.

**    Have independently handled replacement of a set of 10 Cyclones of Regenerator of CCU plant.

**    Executed the work of modifications to the Distillation columns i.e. Changing from Bubble cap trays to valve trays.

       Position Held:          Sr. Maintenance Officer (Utilities)
       Period:                     September 1985 to March 1986

       Job Description:

**    Incharge of Maintenance of the Utilities Section consisting of Boilers, Air Compressors, Salt Water Pumps, Demineralised Plant, Emergency Generators, Saltwater Jetty etc. The job included planning, organizing and supervision of the preventive and breakdown maintenance of all the equipment's of utilities area; technical guidance and trouble shooting; coordination of materials dept., preparation of failure analysis and breakdown reports.

      Job Description:

 **    Incharge of Maintenance of 'Kosan Crisplant' LPG bottling plant, Drum Plant, Bitumen Filling and Stacking Plant, Horton Spheres and Storage Tanks, Product Filling Gantries. The job involved preventive and breakdown maintenance of all the machines like Bottling Carousels, Conveyors, Test Baths, Air Compressors, LPG Pumps, Drum Manufacturing Machines, Tankages etc.
