Curriculum Project:
Project Title: “Robotic Van”
Brief Overview of Project:
Robotic van is an armoured combat
vehicle. It carries Tear Gas Gun, Fire Detector, and Robotic Vision. It can
climb and descend slopes as steep as 30 degrees and can turn around within
their own length. It can travel over rough ground, fallen trees and other
obstacles.
My
Project, the ‘Robotic Van’ is manufactured for the use of Police Department. Maintaining
security during any religious or political riots is very dangerous for Police. During
a riot, the ratio of the mob and Police is less favourable
for the Police. This Project is fabricated in the very interests of Police
safety.
FABRICATION OF
PROJECT
It includes two main
Headers-
(A).ELECTRONIC
PART
It
includes all the designing of electronics used in the control system for Robot.
The
Driver Circuit is used to control Stepper and AC Motor. The design of Driver
Circuit is such that when the input pulse is given to 4 to 16 decoder, it
activates 4 output pins. When 4 to 16 decoder receives high pulse from IC 555, it
activate any one output pin and remaining three will be low. At this output , there
is an Optocoupler connected with resistance in between to limit the maximum
current drawn from the circuit and hence preventing from damage. The output of
the Optocoupler is fed to the Darlington
Pair which in turn drives the relay by supplying sufficient current required
for the operation.
The Fire Sensor is used to sense the fire and extinguish it by
using Tear Gas Gun.
The
Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) is use at the control station to view the
whole scenario.
(B).MECHANICAL PART
It includes all the mechanical
assembly of the Robot (fabrication stuff, motors, and plastic parts).It
includes a detail of all gears and the mechanism used to make it look like a
Van.
The
Step-Down Transformer is used to step down the main AC supply voltage to low
value.
Rrpr the Variable Reluctance type
Stepper Motor is used so that rotary motion occurs in a step-wise manner.
