·        Used EZEDIT/ISPF to change program source code.  Supported Production, and Test JCL releases of 97.2, 98.1.5 and 98.2.  Participated in team events and contributed to the Coaching and Development of other team members. Created GENTRAN EDI files and FTP in the JCL.

Honeywell (Allied Signal), Sr. Programmer / Analyst and Project Leader, September 1993 – June 1997
·        As a Project Lead of Tactical Solutions in Engines I/S for quick turnaround projects, and developed procedures and processes for the Tactical Solution Group and Technical Publication/Provisioning System. 
·        Interacting with users of the system for new requirements.  Also, responsible for creating useable database files for TSO driven users from a TOTAL Database, and for creating reports using EASYTRIEVE.  Also, was responsible for maintaining a Legacy System, which will require new processing in the future to convert from code generated languages such as TELON.  Generated TELON code using DB2 and IMS databases. 
·        Also, responsible for designing and creating a new DB2 Database from Technical Pub. IPC Legacy Data, and for writing the programming specifications and delegated assignments for the development of the programs.  The environment was IBM 30XX under MVS utilizing TOTAL and DB2 Databases.
·        Responsible for the Implementation of Procurement/D System.  Duty included analyzing the conversion process from a TOTAL Legacy System to an IMS DB/DC MACPAC/D and Procurement /D System.  Also, responsible for creating statistical reports using EASYTRIEVE, and for assembling programs in VIASOFT, and analyzing the progression of Procurement/D Programs via VIASOFT.

 American Express, Phoenix, Arizona, Contractor Analyst, August 1992 – September 1993
·        On contract assignment, Wrote and maintained COBOL programs for statistical analysis for management review and evaluation of potential card member accounts. 
·        Analyst for Systems includes Global Risk Management System (GRMS), Mother Maiden Name (MMN), Profitability Modeling, and Student Card System (SCS).  Each project demanded very strong skills in System Analysis, Program Development, IMS DB and DC, DB2, JCL PROCEDURES, COBOL, and sound verbal skills for interacting with users of the systems.

State of Illinois, Springfield, IL, Contractor Analyst, April 1989 – August 1992
·        As part of a consulting team responsible for the business requirement analysis, system analysis, system design, program development and integration, and implementation of a State Provided Group Insurance Systems. 
·        Also, was responsible for the analysis, coding and testing of IMS DB/DC programs, with heavy user interface from users at Family Services and Child Welfare.  Along with responsible for utilizing MFS to assemble all screens and coding all programs using COBOL II, also responsible for generating detailed reports from the DB2 Table using the DB2 SPUFI processing environment, including SQL statements. 
·        Used TELON to generate COBOL programs and IMS Screens. Was also responsible for generating PSB for all programs and the DBD for each test database.  Also, was responsible for creating CLIST to test each on-line menu and module in the BTS environment.
·        Was responsible for a Corrections System for State insurance coverage, which updates Procedure System to allow backlog overrides to insurance information dating back in time.  The system maintained the current Group Insurance Membership Database (IMS DB/DC), and also maintained a new Database Table (DB2) created to keep track of all Group Insurance Membership Records edited using this procedure. 

El Paso Natural Gas Co., El Paso, TX, Contractor Programmer Analyst, September 1988 ‑‑ April 1989 
·        Utilized output data from another natural gas company as input to the new system, assigned to support the Natural Gas Accounting System including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Equipment Inventory functions.  Specific duties included analysis of IMS DC programs to improve production stability.  In a related project, implemented WANG on‑line programs using COBOL WANG/MVS on‑line Utilities Systems.

ARKLA Gas Co., Shreveport, LA, Contractor Technical Writer/Analyst July 1988 ‑‑ September 1988
·        Project Started well before I started with the company.  For a different Natural Gas Utility, analyzed and reorganized IMS DL/I programs for the corporate accounting system.  The process allowed rollback of the IMS database transactions in a CICS environment.  Also, developed communication routines between Natural/DLI and CICS/DLI.

U. S. West Communication (QWEST), Phoenix, AZ, Programmer/Analyst, February 1987 ‑‑ July 1988
·        For a Regional Communications Company, implemented and maintained an Inventory Maintenance Control System.  The system heavily utilized structured programming methods.  Responsible for all phases of testing and troubleshooting.  All work was developed using COBOL and PERKIN ELMER On‑line/Batch Concurrent Operating System and Screen Design Aid.

G'TECH Corporation, Phoenix, AZ, Operation Support Specialist, March 1984 ‑‑ February 1987
·        Utilized heavy Job Control Language (JCL) skills.  Submitted JCL Procedures, backed up production databases, and executed run control procedure on many of the JCL batch utilities.  Promoted to a System Support Team (Technical Support) which helped identified system concern problems.  All work done in an IBM mainframe environment.
